About Our Daily Bread
Our Daily Bread is a Catholic ministry serving individuals and families experiencing food insecurity in Enid and the surrounding community. A mission of St. Francis Xavier and St. Gregory the Great Catholic Churches, we are committed to serving every person with dignity, compassion, and respect.
We are seeking a mission focused, collaborative leader to serve as our next Executive Director and guide Our Daily Bread in its continued service to our community.
Position Summary
The Executive Director provides strategic and day to day leadership for Our Daily Bread, including ministry operations, financial stewardship, fundraising, staff and volunteer leadership, community engagement, and program development.
Working closely with the Pastor, Advisory Board, parish leadership, staff, volunteers, donors, and community partners, the Executive Director ensures that Our Daily Bread remains financially responsible, operationally effective, responsive to community needs, and faithful to its Catholic mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership for ministry operations, employees, volunteers, and daily activities.
- Work with the Pastor and Advisory Board to establish organizational goals and strategic priorities.
- Develop and monitor the annual operating budget and assist with preparation and presentation of financial reports.
- Maintain appropriate internal financial controls and responsible stewardship of ministry resources.
- Lead fundraising, donor development, grant development, and community partnership efforts.
- Oversee the effective delivery and continued improvement of food assistance and related ministry programs.
- Recruit, develop, supervise, and evaluate employees and volunteers.
- Maintain compliance with applicable laws, food safety requirements, and Archdiocesan policies.
- Foster a collaborative, respectful, and mission focused workplace culture.
- Represent Our Daily Bread within the Catholic community and throughout the greater Enid community.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and leadership experience.
- At least three years of progressively responsible leadership or nonprofit management experience.
- Experience supervising employees and volunteers.
- Experience with budgets, financial reporting, fundraising, and organizational management.
- Valid Oklahoma driver's license.
- Ability to successfully complete and maintain required background screening, Safe Environment training, and related Archdiocesan requirements.
- Ability to complete CPR, First Aid, and AED certification within 60 days of hire.
Preferred
- Experience in nonprofit, faith based, hunger relief, or human services organizations.
- Preference will be given to a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Catholic Church.
- Spanish language proficiency.

Physical and Scheduling Requirements
This position includes work in office, warehouse, pantry, kitchen, and community settings. The Executive Director must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally handle items weighing up to 50 pounds using appropriate team lifting, mechanical assistance, or other safe material handling practices.
Occasional evening, weekend, holiday, and local travel may be required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary: $39,000 annually plus a comprehensive benefits package through the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City.
