We are seeking a dynamic and energetic (over 21 yrs) individual to join our team as a Grill Cook and Retail Manager. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of grilled items, ensuring adherence to recipes, food safety standards, and quality specifications
- Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, and food preparation tools efficiently and safely
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen area following food safety sanitizing procedures
- Manage inventory levels for both kitchen supplies and retail products, placing orders as needed
- Oversee daily retail operations including customer service, sales transactions, stock replenishment, and visual merchandising
- Train and supervise staff in food handling techniques, cooking methods and proper use of kitchen equipment
- Ensure compliance with food safety management protocols and uphold high standards of food production and service
- Coordinate catering or special event meal preparations when required
- Foster a positive team environment that emphasizes excellent service, efficiency, and safety
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food industry roles such as dietary aide, restaurant cook, or culinary assistant with a focus on grilling or food preparation
- Strong knowledge of menu planning, recipe adherence, and high-volume production techniques
- Skilled in operating various kitchen equipment safely and effectively
- Experience with food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling regulations
- Demonstrated ability in managing retail sales or customer service environments within a food service setting
- Familiarity with dietary department operations or catering services is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong leadership qualities with experience supervising staff or managing retail operations
