Responsibilities
- Assist masons with preparing and setting up work sites, including handling building materials and tools
- Load, unload, and organize supplies such as concrete, rebar, scaffolding, and other materials needed for masonry work
- Support rebar installation by cutting, bending, and positioning reinforcement bars according to blueprints and specifications
- Help with concrete mixing, pouring, finishing, and curing processes to ensure quality results
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to support accurate building material installation
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for tasks like cutting, shaping, and installing masonry components
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols at all times
Skills
- Strong understanding of construction estimating principles and blueprint reading
- Experience with rebar installation, concrete forming, finishing techniques, and stucco application
- Knowledge of masonry techniques including tile laying, plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, roofing support, and metal stud framing
- Ability to interpret technical drawings such as schematics and construction plans accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in masonry and general construction tasks
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation relevant to construction site activities
- Construction site experience with a focus on renovation or restoration projects is highly advantageous
This role requires a proactive attitude with excellent attention to detail. Pay: $28.31 - $31.45 per hour
