Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding service to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process sales
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures
- Upsell products and promote store specials to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain clean and organized checkout areas, restock shelves, and assist with merchandising efforts
- Answer customer inquiries politely in person, demonstrating excellent communication skills
Qualifications
- Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transactions
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a busy retail setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to better serve diverse customer populations
- Supervising experience is advantageous for those interested in growth opportunities within the team
- Knowledge of grocery store operations, merchandising, stocking, and retail sales practices is beneficial
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must have reliable transportation
