Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors using floor scrubbing machines, buffers, waxers, and other cleaning equipment to achieve a high standard of cleanliness.
- Handle and apply floor cleaning chemicals safely, following all safety protocols and manufacturer instructions to ensure effective results without compromising safety or the environment.
- Conduct detailed floor refinishing tasks including waxing, buffing, polishing, and sealing surfaces to restore their appearance and extend their lifespan.
- Execute carpet cleaning procedures utilizing appropriate equipment and techniques to maintain a fresh, clean look across all flooring types.
- Carry out heavy lifting tasks involving moving furniture or equipment as needed for thorough cleaning or maintenance projects.
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, chemical usage, and equipment maintenance to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs promptly and professionally while maintaining a positive attitude throughout your shift.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services with a focus on floor care; janitorial experience is highly valued.
- Skilled in the use of various floor cleaning equipment such as scrubbers, buffers, waxers, and carpet extractors.
- Knowledgeable about handling chemical agents safely, including proper storage and disposal of floor cleaning chemicals.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and moving equipment or furniture safely.
- Familiarity with environmental services standards and practices related to sustainable cleaning methods.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results consistently.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented mindset.
