As a Graduate Engineer, you will work alongside experienced Professional Engineers, surveyors, and project managers on a wide variety of civil engineering projects throughout Texas and beyond. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated recent graduate or early-career engineer to gain practical experience in civil design, land development, municipal infrastructure, construction support, and multidisciplinary project coordination.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the planning, design, and preparation of civil engineering plans for land development, public infrastructure, and municipal projects.
- Perform engineering calculations related to grading, drainage, utility systems, roadways, and stormwater management.
- Prepare engineering drawings, exhibits, reports, and technical specifications using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design software.
- Conduct site visits, field investigations, and construction observations as needed.
- Coordinate with survey, geotechnical, environmental, and construction management teams to develop comprehensive engineering solutions.
- Assist with permitting, agency coordination, and regulatory compliance.
- Support project managers in preparing cost estimates, project schedules, and client deliverables.
- Review project documents for quality, accuracy, and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Continue professional development while working toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred or ability to obtain within six months of employment.
- 0–3 years of civil engineering experience.
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office preferred.
- Strong technical writing, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Willingness to perform occasional field work and travel to project sites.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

Experience or coursework in one or more of the following is beneficial:
- Land development
- Site grading and drainage design
- Utility design (water, wastewater, and storm sewer)
- Roadway design
- Hydrology and hydraulics
- Construction observation
- Survey coordination
- Geotechnical engineering

Work Location: Near any Centerline office (Texas)
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
