Wise Staffing Group is seeking an energetic and growth-oriented Staffing Specialist to join our team! The Staffing Specialist will be responsible for a variety of human resources services, including recruitment, employee placement, payroll, performance management, and other essential staffing functions for our clients. Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Sourcing:
- Coordinate with management and the sales team to identify both current and future client hiring needs.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of candidates by evaluating sourcing methods, posting digital and paper job ads, and organizing hiring events.
- Conduct interviews and screenings, perform background checks and drug screenings, and handle all aspects of the recruitment process.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as the intermediary between temporary employees and clients, ensuring smooth communication regarding performance, attendance, payroll, and other matters.
- Investigate and resolve issues related to workers' compensation, unemployment, or discrimination complaints, and make recommendations when necessary.
- Maintain regular contact with clients to monitor staffing needs and ensure job placements meet expectations.
- Employee Management & Onboarding:
- Oversee the full recruitment cycle, ensuring timely and efficient placement of temporary staff.
- Manage onboarding activities, including I-9 paperwork, payroll processing, and other required documentation.
- Maintain appropriate records throughout the recruitment cycle, tracking performance and addressing any employee-related concerns.
- On-Call Availability:
- Be available for on-call assignments to address urgent staffing needs, including evenings or weekends, based on client needs.
- Administrative Tasks & Compliance:
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records on each stage of the recruitment cycle.
- Ensure compliance with all legal requirements and company policies for staffing and payroll processing.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the candidate database and help with administrative office duties as required.
Key Success Factors:
- Proven ability to interview and evaluate candidates to make informed hiring decisions.
- Strong time management, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
- Proficiency in MS Office and other basic computer programs.
- Reliable transportation and flexibility to work outside of typical office hours as needed.
- Experience in customer service, administrative work, or similar fields is highly desirable.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in staffing, recruiting, or human resources is beneficial.
- Familiarity with staffing software, job boards, and applicant tracking systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
