Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate HHA (Home Health Aide), CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant), or Caregiver to join our team. This role involves delivering exceptional patient-centered care by assisting with daily activities, monitoring health status, and supporting clients in maintaining their independence and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior care, medical terminology, and working with individuals with disabilities or memory impairments.
Hours
Everyday from 2pm - 6pm ( No Fridays)
Duties
- Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and health status using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems or Medical Documentation tools.
- Assist with medication administration following prescribed protocols while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support patients with Alzheimer's, dementia, or memory care needs through specialized caregiving techniques.
- Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts, catheters, and other assistive devices safely and effectively.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation to promote a safe and comfortable environment.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to update medical records and ensure continuity of care in home or community settings.
Qualifications
- Valid certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is required.
- Prior experience in senior care, assisted living, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic nursing skills such as vital signs measurement and medication administration.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia is advantageous.
- CPR certification is required; hospice care experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR systems for documentation purposes.
- Strong communication skills coupled with compassion, patience, and the ability to work independently in diverse settings. Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
