About Us
Prooost Real Estate Investments owns and manages a growing mixed portfolio of residential and commercial properties throughout Winter Garden and the greater Orlando area. We're looking for an experienced, self-sufficient Maintenance Technician who takes pride in quality work and can keep our properties in top condition.
What You'll Do
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance across a mixed portfolio of residential and commercial properties
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing issues (leaks, clogs, fixtures, water heaters)
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues (outlets, switches, fixtures, breakers)
- Diagnose and address HVAC problems and coordinate with vendors when specialized work is needed
- Handle general repairs: drywall, painting, doors, locks, appliances, flooring, and fixtures
- Complete unit turnovers and make-ready work between tenants
- Respond to tenant maintenance requests promptly and professionally
- Perform property inspections and identify issues before they become expensive problems
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
- Respond to after-hours and weekend emergency calls when needed
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- After-hours and weekend availability required for emergencies and time-sensitive repairs
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of hands-on maintenance experience (property maintenance, facilities, or skilled trades)
- Strong troubleshooting skills in plumbing, electrical, and HVAC
- Ability to work independently, manage your own schedule, and see jobs through to completion
- Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver's license (required — you'll travel between properties daily)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in Florida heat, crawl spaces, and attics
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor with tenants
- Smartphone proficiency for work orders, photos, and communication
Preferred Experience
- EPA 608 certification (HVAC)
- Experience with both residential and commercial building systems
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Compensation & Details
- $55,000 per year, paid as a W2 salaried employee
- 10 days of paid time off per year
- Company-provided tools and equipment
- Travel is local to the Winter Garden / Orlando area
- Please note: this position does not include health insurance or other benefits at this time
