Saybr Contractors is hiring a Safety Coordinator to support our construction operations and help strengthen how safety is practiced across our jobsites. This role is both in the office and in the field on active construction sites working directly with crews and superintendents.
This role reports directly to the Corporate Safety Officer and is intended as a long-term development position for someone who wants to grow into a Safety Manager or Safety Director role. We are looking for someone who can build trust, influence behavior, and help teams take ownership of safety.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Conduct frequent jobsite visits to observe work and engage with crews
- Lead safety conversations, not just inspections
- Develop and review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) with the people performing the work
- Assist in creating Site-Specific Safety Plans (SSSPs) that reflect real conditions
- Identify hazards and work with teams to implement practical solutions
- Support incident and near-miss investigations with a focus on root cause
- Maintain safety documentation including OSHA logs and training records
- Review subcontractor safety plans and ensure alignment with company expectations
- Support compliance platforms (ISNetworld, Avetta, etc.)

- Comfortable being in the field and engaging directly with construction crews
- Able to communicate clearly and respectfully with all levels of the organization
- Willing to ask questions, listen, and learn how work actually gets done
- Solutions-oriented, not just focused on identifying problems
- Organized and capable of managing multiple responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to jobsites
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in active construction environments (outdoors, variable conditions)
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Construction Safety, Occupational Safety, or related field
- OSHA 30 certification
- Internship or hands-on experience in construction or safety
- Familiarity with OSHA/WAC safety standards

Compensation & Benefits
- $65,000 – $80,000 per year (depending on experience)
