JOB The City of Fellsmere is seeking a dependable and hardworking Laborer to join our Public Works Department. This position is an important part of the team that keeps our city clean, safe, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate will enjoy hands-on work outdoors, be willing to learn, and have a strong sense of pride in serving the community. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
- Perform manual labor in the construction, repair, and maintenance of city streets, sidewalks, parks, drainage systems, and stormwater infrastructure.

Assist with stormwater system maintenance, including clearing debris from ditches, swales, culverts, inlets, and storm drains to ensure proper water flow.

Support efforts to reduce flooding by inspecting and maintaining stormwater structures during and after heavy rain events.

Assist equipment operators and skilled workers by supplying tools, moving materials, and completing basic tasks.

Operate hand tools, small power tools, lawn mowers, and other light equipment.

Help with landscaping, mowing, tree trimming, planting, and general groundskeeping in city parks and public areas.

Collect and dispose of trash, debris, and litter from streets and facilities.

Support emergency response efforts, such as storm cleanup, flooding, or roadway hazards.

Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
