Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical conditions, including mobility, strength, flexibility, and functional abilities.
- Develop and execute individualized care plans aligned with clinical standards and patient goals.
- Deliver evidence-based physiotherapy interventions such as manual therapy, trigger point therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to facilitate recovery.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care strategies.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and electronic medical records (EMR) systems accurately to document treatment progress and clinical notes in compliance with documentation standards.
- Educate patients and their families on physiotherapy techniques, injury prevention strategies, and home exercise programs to support ongoing recovery.
- Assist in discharge planning by evaluating patient progress and recommending appropriate follow-up care or community resources.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and current practices in outpatient rehabilitation centers and inpatient hospital settings.
Experience
- Proven experience practicing in a physical therapy role within outpatient clinics or hospital environments.
- Hands-on experience working with geriatric patients, pediatrics, neurology cases, orthopedics, or home & community care programs.
- Familiarity with inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation processes as well as home health services.
- Knowledge of clinical documentation standards and proficiency managing EMR/EHR systems effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to develop care plans tailored to individual patient needs while adhering to medical terminology guidelines.
- Prior exposure to acute care settings or inpatient experiences that enhance your adaptability across diverse clinical scenarios.
- Strong understanding of physiology and anatomy fundamentals essential for accurate assessments and effective interventions.
