We are seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanic 2 to join our team. In this high-impact role, you will support all facets of event operations for Multi-site Venues, while playing a key role in broader department initiatives.
Your role on the team:
- Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, repair, and operational support for fleet and mobile equipment across multiple facilities.
- Maintain and repair electric carts, golf carts, utility vehicles, and small motorized equipment to ensure reliability and readiness.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, charging, steering, braking, suspension, and drive system issues.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on forklifts, scissor lifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Support maintenance and repair of floor scrubbers, pressure washers, and other custodial or operational equipment.
- Perform basic maintenance and repair activities on facility vehicles and light-duty motor vehicles.
- Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance on batteries, charging systems, tires, hydraulic systems, and mechanical components.
- Track maintenance schedules and complete work orders through the maintenance management system.
- Coordinate with internal departments to schedule equipment downtime and minimize operational impacts.
- Support event operations by ensuring fleet and equipment readiness before, during, and after events.
- Identify equipment nearing end-of-life and provide recommendations for repair versus replacement.
- Maintain inventory of repair parts and maintenance supplies.
- Follow all company and OSHA safety requirements when operating and servicing equipment.
Your Skills and Experience:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of electric and gas-powered fleet equipment.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ability to independently diagnose issues and complete repairs with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with battery systems, charging infrastructure, hydraulic systems, and mobile equipment maintenance.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple work orders and priorities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external service providers.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing operational and event demands.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends, as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical school, trade certification, or vocational training in mechanics, automotive technology, industrial maintenance, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience maintaining and repairing electric carts, golf carts, forklifts, scissor lifts, small equipment, or light fleet vehicles preferred.
- Experience with battery diagnostics, charging systems, and electrical troubleshooting preferred.
- Experience operating and servicing material handling equipment preferred.
- OSHA certification preferred.
- Forklift and aerial lift certification preferred (or ability to obtain).
- Valid driver’s license required.
