Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality nursing care within a long-term care setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a commitment to patient-centered care, and experience working with geriatric and disabled populations. As an LPN in this role, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing services, supporting residents’ health and well-being, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal care outcomes.
Weekly Gross Pay: $1,750.00
Weekly Taxable Pay: $504.00
Non-taxable Weekly: $1,246.00

Genie Healthcare is currently seeking experienced LPN LONG TERM CARE to fill an opening place located in Ellendale, North Dakota for $48.61/hr. (Taxed+ nontaxed)
Requirements of LPN LONG TERM CARE:
● Must have AHA BLS.
● Must have a valid state ND License or Compact license.
● Must have at least 2 years of experience as an LPN LONG TERM CARE

Responsibilities of LPN LONG TERM CARE:
- Shift: - 12 Hours Days
- 36 Hours (3*12)
- 8-week contract
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health history documentation.
- Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed orders while adhering to HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies.
- Monitor residents for changes in condition, including acute pain management and infection control measures.
- Assist with tube feeding, catheter care, wound dressing changes, and other specialized procedures such as IV infusion and sterile processing.
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain detailed medical records using electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner; ensure compliance with long-term care regulations.
- Provide education and support to residents and their families on health coaching, medication management, and discharge planning.
- Support emergency response efforts by participating in triage, airway management, and acute care procedures within a Level I or Level II trauma center environment if applicable.
Skills
- Valid licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with current state certification.
- Experience working in long-term care facilities or skilled nursing facilities; familiarity with geriatrics and dementia care is essential.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth; knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding is advantageous.
- Strong clinical skills including medication administration, venipuncture, catheterization, and basic life support certification.
- Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and recognize early signs of deterioration or infection.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide compassionate resident care.
- Knowledge of long-term care regulations, HIPAA compliance, and documentation standards.
- Experience in hospice care, assisted living environments, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities enhances suitability for this role.
