Responsibilities
- Quickly and accurately deliver prepared dishes from the kitchen to guests’ tables, ensuring proper presentation and temperature.
- Assist in organizing and expediting food orders during busy service times to maintain smooth restaurant flow.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to confirm order readiness and special requests.
- Support food safety standards by handling dishes carefully and maintaining cleanliness during service.
- Clear empty plates and assist with bussing tables to keep dining areas tidy and inviting.
- Provide friendly, attentive service by responding promptly to guest needs and inquiries.
- Collaborate with servers, cooks, and management to uphold high standards of hospitality and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential.
- Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and proper serving techniques.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS is a plus.
- Experience with food preparation, plating, or kitchen operations enhances your ability to excel in this role.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude are vital for delivering excellent guest service.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, move swiftly between tables and kitchen stations, and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
