Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards across residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent time management skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional service. This role involves performing various cleaning tasks, ensuring environments are safe, sanitary, and welcoming for clients. Prior experience in janitorial, custodial, hotel, or commercial cleaning is highly valued. The Housekeeping Cleaner plays a vital role in upholding the reputation of our cleaning services by delivering thorough and efficient cleaning solutions.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of residential and commercial spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces
- Handle laundry duties such as washing, folding, and organizing linens and clothing
- Maintain floor care by sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, or polishing floors as needed
- Ensure all sanitation standards are met or exceeded in kitchens, bathrooms, and other high-touch areas
- Use appropriate cleaning agents and equipment to ensure effective results while maintaining safety protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client requests and ensuring satisfaction
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need replenishing
- Follow established safety procedures to prevent accidents or injuries during cleaning tasks
- Assist with special projects such as carpet cleaning or deep sanitation upon request
Skills
- Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning environments such as janitorial or custodial roles
- Knowledge of proper sanitation techniques and floor care methods
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment including vacuums, carpet cleaners, and floor polishers
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality of work
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within scheduled timeframes
- Customer service skills to interact professionally with clients and address their needs effectively
- Ability to handle laundry tasks accurately and efficiently
- Experience with hotel housekeeping management or hospitality industry is a plus
- Familiarity with sanitation standards for food preparation areas if applicable
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties that may involve lifting, bending, or standing for extended periods
