Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding service throughout their shopping journey
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions, returns, and exchanges
- Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and perform cash handling with precision
- Assist customers with product inquiries, including conducting product demos when appropriate
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability
- Promote upselling opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales volume
- Follow phone etiquette protocols when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support inventory management through stock replenishment and merchandising tasks
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience is preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team setting.
- Strong communication skills to clearly convey information and build rapport with customers
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and managing retail math calculations
- Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering procedures to ensure efficient checkout processes
- Knowledge of grocery store operations, including stocking, merchandising, and customer service standards
