Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers on over-the-road (OTR) or regional routes, ensuring compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and FMCSA standards
- Availability to drive a variety of trailers if experienced in van, flatbed, open-top and conestoga trailers.
- Use GPS navigation systems to plan optimal routes for timely deliveries across multiple states or regions
- Secure freight with load straps to prevent damage
- Deliver freight accurately to customer locations while maintaining professional communication and excellent customer service
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers, ensuring vehicle safety and compliance with safety standards
- Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in accordance with DOT regulations
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record and recent experience in commercial truck driving
- Proven 2 years minimum experience with route driving freight delivery, hazardous materials handling not required but is somewhat available and has extra pay
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, DOT rules, and safety procedures for truck loading/unloading
- Familiarity with route planning and real-time tracking during trips
- Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling including freight securing techniques for van freight. Flatbed freight available in a limited amount to those with experience.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, manual handling capabilities, and adherence to all traffic laws

Pay: $86,238.26 - $95,979.19 per year
