SUMMARY: An Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling small parts and components to create new products according to client specifications and supporting other manufacturing and packaging processes under supervision.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assembly:
o Assembles small parts and pieces into a final product
o Uses various hand tools to produce a final product
o Follows instructions and diagrams as delivered for each product
o Understands and employs build specifications for appropriate component assembly and appropriate handling/boxing of the liquid (pepper spray, bear spray, fire foam, inert liquid, etc.)
o Understands and employs boxing requirements for different customers
o Uses PPE (gloves, safety goggles, etc.) correctly when PPE is indicated
o Properly returns parts to storage
o Maintains correct inventory positions
o Works alone or with other technician(s) when needed
· Other Duties:
o Wraps/labels finished pallets for shipping
o Participates in the water bath process
o Drops valves at the MBC machine
o Understands and follows safety procedures related to the MBC machine
· Quality Management:
o Identifies defects or problems to be repaired and alerts Personnel Manager
o Conducts final functional tests to verify the assembled unit operates properly and is of high quality
o Works closely with other technicians to ensure quality control is maintained throughout the manufacturing process
o Maintains a clear and organized workspace
o Maintains compliance with applicable health and safety standards, including OSHA and NFPA
· Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
