Position Overview
We are looking for a dependable, hardworking individual to help maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and day-to-day upkeep of our sports facilities. This role is responsible for keeping the facility clean, organized, and well-maintained through janitorial work, light maintenance, grounds care, and routine inspections.
The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, notices issues before they become problems, and is comfortable working independently while supporting the overall operation of the facility.
Key Responsibilities
Cleaning & Janitorial
- Clean and maintain playing fields, courts, common areas, restrooms, offices, and lobby areas.
- Empty trash and recycling bins throughout the facility.
- Sanitize high-touch surfaces and restock restroom and cleaning supplies.
- Keep storage rooms and maintenance areas clean and organized.
- Assist with event setup and cleanup before and after leagues, tournaments, and special events.
Grounds & Facility Upkeep
- Water and maintain landscaping, plants, and outdoor areas.
- Keep entrances, sidewalks, parking lots, and outdoor spaces clean and presentable.
- Remove debris and perform seasonal outdoor maintenance as needed.
Light Maintenance
- Perform basic maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, replacing batteries, tightening hardware, assembling equipment, touching up paint, and other minor repairs.
- Report larger maintenance issues to management promptly.
General Facility Support
- Move equipment and supplies as needed.
- Help maintain inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies.
- Assist with miscellaneous facility tasks as assigned to ensure the building remains safe, clean, and welcoming.
Qualifications
- Previous janitorial, custodial, maintenance, or facilities experience.
- Basic handyman skills are a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily responsibilities without constant supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
- Reliable, punctual, and takes pride in maintaining a clean, professional environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including bending, lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
