Position Summary
The Manufacturing Team Lead is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the assigned production line during their shift. Approximately 50% of the role involves managing team performance, with a strong influence on Quality, Cost, and Delivery outcomes. The remaining 50% involves active value creation within the dedicated lines, supporting continuous improvements and operational excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Oversee and coordinate daily shift operations, ensuring smooth workflow of personnel, machines, and materials.
- Manage staffing levels, including allocation of workers, short‑term substitutions, and absence planning.
- Conduct effective shift handovers and ensure readiness of machines, materials, and personnel for the next shift.
- Monitor adherence to standards, checklists, processes, and safety rules, addressing deviations promptly.
- Track daily performance indicators and ensure production or logistics targets are met.
- Lead daily team meetings, drive shopfloor communication, and engage in escalation processes when issues arise.
- Identify and resolve problems using structured problem‑solving methods.
- Lead, motivate, train, and evaluate team members—including onboarding, performance reviews, and maintaining qualification matrices.
- Support strategic activities such as new equipment introduction, documentation tasks, and fostering a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- General computer proficiency, including the use of word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Stable work experience
- Ability to pass Drug Screen
- Ability to work mandatory overtime
