Are you an experienced Parts Professional who enjoys solving problems, helping customers, and working in a fast-paced environment? Burns Industrial Equipment is looking for a motivated Forklift Parts Specialist to join our growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2+ years of parts lookup and ordering experience who takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service and keeping technicians equipped with the parts they need to succeed.
As a Parts Specialist, you'll play a critical role in supporting our customers and service team by sourcing, ordering, and distributing forklift and industrial equipment parts efficiently and accurately.
What You'll Do:
- Assist customers, service technicians, and internal staff by phone and email.
- Research, source, and order OEM and aftermarket parts.
- Prepare and provide accurate parts quotations.
- Process customer and technician orders in our business system.
- Issue purchase orders to vendors and suppliers.
- Pick, stage, and fulfill parts orders.
- Coordinate daily shipments and deliveries.
- Maintain communication with customers regarding order status and availability. Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory accuracy.
- Assist with invoicing and payment processing.
- Support other parts department operations as needed.
What We're Looking For:
- 2+ years of parts lookup and ordering experience (required).
- Previous experience in the forklift, industrial equipment, automotive, heavy equipment, or similar parts industry preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong computer and basic math skills.
- Ability to read parts manuals, technical diagrams, and exploded-view illustrations.
- Working knowledge of inventory control and warehouse operations.
- Ability to frequently lift up to 75 pounds.
