Position: Automotive Mechanic

Position Purpose: The Automotive Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of automotive vehicles. This role requires strong technical expertise in automotive systems, adherence to industry standards, and a commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates the values and business principles of Leadec.
- Works safely at all times.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, and electrical systems
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance services
- Complete repair work in compliance with manufacturer and company standards
- Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins
- Utilize shop management systems to document repairs and services performed
- Test-drive vehicles to verify repairs and identify issues
- Maintain accurate and timely repair records
- Ensure all work meets safety codes, standards, regulations and company guidelines
- Collaborate with service advisors and team members to ensure efficient workflow
- Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Stay up to date with ongoing technical training and industry advancements
- Adhering to and supporting all EHS and Quality objectives, in accordance with ISO 14001, 45001 and 9001 respectively.
- All other duties as assigned by Leadec manager.

Position Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Completion of an automotive technical program or apprenticeship preferred
- ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications preferred
- Minimum of 2-5 years of automotive repair experience (shop or dealership experience preferred)
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 30-50 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods
- Must provide own tools
Physical Requirements:

- Required to talk and/or hear in an industrial setting (noise level is high). Frequently required to stand and walk on concrete surfaces for 4 -12 hours. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; lift; climb or balance; kneel, crawl, stoop, or crouch.
- Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and focus adjustment.
- Work is performed in an industrial-manufacturing environment with occasional time spent working on a computer or at a desk.
Pay: $24.00 - $32.00 per hour
