Title: Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) – Mobile Health Unit
Duration: Approximately 6 Month Contract
Location: Connecticut (Mobile Health Unit serving multiple communities)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to provide full-time
maternity leave coverage for a highly specialized Mobile Health Unit. This innovative program—the
first mobile pharmacy of its kind in the nation—delivers healthcare services directly to underserved
communities through a fully equipped mobile clinic.
The APRN will work alongside an interdisciplinary team while maintaining autonomy in clinical
decision-making in a community-based setting. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced
provider who enjoys working with vulnerable populations and thrives in a flexible, fast-paced
environment.
There is potential for continued per diem employment following the temporary assignment based on
organizational needs and performance.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions
- Provide evidence-based treatment plans
- Prescribe medications within APRN scope of practice
- Collaborate closely with pharmacists and medical assistants
- Make independent clinical decisions in a mobile/community environment
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning
- Complete timely documentation
- Assist with supply management and operational workflows
- Participate in team meetings
Required Qualifications
o Master's or Doctorate in Nursing
o Licensed APRN
o Connecticut APRN licensure
- 5+ years of APRN experience
Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
