Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive support to healthcare providers and ensure a positive patient experience. Your responsibilities will include assisting with patient intake, performing clinical tasks, managing medical records, and supporting various medical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in procedures using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
- Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately
- Prepare patients for examinations by documenting medical histories and current symptoms with clarity and precision
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures, including basic life support (BLS) techniques when necessary
- Support clinical tasks such as medication administration, and specimen collection
- Manage medical documentation including ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology for accurate record keeping
- Perform administrative duties like appointment scheduling, patient follow-up calls, and maintaining organized medical records in compliance with privacy regulations
Skills
- Strong knowledge of pediatrics procedures
- Knowledge of physiology and anatomy to support accurate assessments and procedures
- Ability to perform intake assessments, vital signs collection, ICD coding for diagnoses, and medication administration when needed
