Responsibilities
- Safely lift, carry, load, and unload furniture, boxes, and other household or office items during moves
- Operate moving equipment such as dollies, hand trucks, and protective padding to facilitate efficient transportation
- Follow established safety protocols in accordance with company policies and federal regulations to prevent injuries
- Assist with disassembly and reassembly of furniture as needed to ensure secure transport
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate move schedules and logistics
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of moving supplies and equipment before, during, and after each move
- Provide excellent customer service by handling client interactions professionally and courteously throughout the process
Requirements
- Ability to lift heavy objects repeatedly while maintaining proper form to prevent injury
- Strong time management skills to adhere to scheduled move timelines efficiently
- Basic understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations is a plus for moves involving aviation-related facilities or equipment
- Good analysis skills to assess moving challenges quickly and adapt strategies accordingly
- Prior experience in moving, logistics, or related physical roles is preferred but not required
- Valid driver’s license may be required depending on the scope of assignments
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with a positive attitude
