Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Procurement Generalist to join our team and drive excellence in sourcing, purchasing, and vendor management. Duties
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities using systems such as SAP, SAP ERP, JD Edwards, Oracle EBS, and other purchasing management platforms.
- Coordinate with vendors to negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts while maintaining positive vendor relationships.
- Oversee inventory management processes including inventory control, logistics, and supply chain coordination to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Utilize spreadsheets and Excel data analysis tools for procurement reporting, cost analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
- Support sourcing initiatives by identifying new suppliers, evaluating vendor performance, and conducting direct negotiation procurement strategies.
- Collaborate with production planning, merchandising, and logistics teams to align procurement activities with operational needs.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier communications within ERP systems such as SAP, JD Edwards or Oracle EBS.
Requirements
- Proven experience with SAP, SAP ERP, JD Edwards, Oracle EBS or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Strong understanding of materials management, inventory control, and supply chain management principles.
- Familiarity with purchasing management systems (technically supported) including vendor communication platforms.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet tools like Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes.
- Knowledge of procurement processes including sourcing, vendor negotiation, contracts management, and logistics coordination.
- Ability to analyze pricing strategies using MRP (Material Requirements Planning), ERP data and e-commerce platforms.
- Excellent communication skills for effective vendor relationship management and cross-departmental collaboration.
