Job Details / Responsibilities:
Perform treatments and provide exercise instruction and demonstration for patients according to established plans of care
Assist the supervising Physical Therapist during patient evaluations, testing, and complex procedures
Carry out programs of corrective exercise, therapeutic activities, manual therapy, and modalities to improve patient mOur Clientlity and function
Monitor patient progress, document treatment sessions accurately, and communicate changes to the supervising therapist
Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety, and self-management strategies
Maintain equipment, ensure a clean and safe treatment environment, and comply with all regulatory standards
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support coordinated, high-quality patient care
Participate in departmental quality improvement and continuing education activities
Qualifications:
Active Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA) license in Texas required
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Current BLS certification required
New graduates welcome; 1+ years of experience preferred (inpatient or outpatient)
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to work full-time schedule with potential varied shifts or weekends as needed
