A well-established Federally Qualified Health Center is seeking a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its growing team in Williston, South Carolina.
This nonprofit health system has served communities throughout South Carolina for more than 40 years and provides accessible, high-quality primary and preventive healthcare services to diverse patient populations. The organization operates multiple locations and offers a broad range of services, including primary care, behavioral and psychiatric care, women’s health, pediatrics, infectious disease care, HIV/AIDS services, ophthalmology, and pharmacy services.
This is a full-time position with a Monday-Friday schedule from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. There is also an option to work one evening clinic per week for additional scheduling flexibility, although this is preferred and not required.
Responsibilities
The Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will provide comprehensive primary care services in a collaborative, team-based environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare medical histories and perform patient examinations
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
- Order routine and diagnostic laboratory, radiological, and other necessary studies
- Interpret test results and develop comprehensive patient management plans
- Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Document clinical data, progress notes, summaries, and evaluations in the electronic health record
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other care team members
- Participate in pre-visit huddles and ongoing clinical workflow meetings
- Coordinate referrals and ensure continuity of care
- Educate patients regarding treatment plans and self-management tasks
- Assess barriers to meeting treatment goals and communicate impacts to the care team
- Provide after-visit summary reviews when appropriate
- Participate in quarterly chart reviews and ongoing quality improvement initiatives
- Attend staff meetings, provider meetings, seminars, and case presentations
- Provide emergency medical care when necessary
- Communicate with patients’ relatives or caregivers regarding their physical condition when appropriate
- Participate in community-based activities, including health fairs, sports physicals, immunization campaigns, home visits, and emergency response efforts
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Physician Assistant or APRN degree from an accredited program
- Board certified or currently in the certification process
- Current South Carolina license
- Prescriptive authority
- Current DEA registration for appropriate scheduled medications
- Basic Life Support certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative, team-based environment
- Commitment to providing patient-centered care to diverse and underserved populations

Salary scales represent a range of pay, and offers are made to applicants based upon the requirements of the particular position.
Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
