Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in various kitchen tasks, ensuring that our food service operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role is essential in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization within the kitchen environment, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Assist cooks and chefs in food preparation and cooking tasks as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen work areas, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
- Help with the setup and breakdown of banquet events and food service stations.
- Bus tables and assist with clearing dishes after meals to ensure a tidy dining area.
- Follow all food handling safety protocols to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods by performing various tasks as assigned.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and properly maintained.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a food service or hospitality environment is preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of food handling practices and safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced kitchen staff.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
