Role and Responsibilities
Responsible for meticulously inspecting and testing products throughout the production process, ensuring they consistently meet established quality standards and comply with the ISO 9001 quality management system guidelines, including detailed documentation, process monitoring, and corrective action implementation to maintain product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct thorough visual and dimensional inspections, following QC Work Instructions, of finished products using measuring tools like calipers, gauges, and micrometers to verify compliance with specification.
- Perform routine quality control tests on samples according to established protocols, including physical and performance testing to identify defects or deviations.
- Accurately record inspection and test results, analyze data for trends, and identify potential quality issues to initiate corrective actions
- Maintain detailed documentation of inspection findings, test results, and corrective actions taken, ensuring proper record keeping according to ISO 9001
- Identify and report non-conforming products, initiating appropriate corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Any other duties required to ensure quality products
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High School Diploma with College Diploma beneficial
- Measurement / metrology experience in manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of ISO 9001 standard
- Basic Arithmetic Skills.
- Ability to stand, sit or walk for periods of time.
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to use but not limited to following:
- Rulers, Calipers, Micrometers, Meg-Ohm Meters, RTD/Thermocouple simulators, Thermocouple thermometers, multimeters, electro etchers, calculators, screw drivers and soldering irons
Preferred
4-year college degree in related field
ISO 9001 experience
ISO 17025 experience a plus
