Key Qualifications:
- Hold an active Extensive Support Needs credential (Moderate-Severe)
- Prior experience teaching in Special Day Classrooms strongly preferred
- Demonstrated expertise supporting students with a range of abilities, especially those requiring moderate to severe support
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to diverse classroom environments
- Commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and structured learning space
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality specialized instruction for two groups: 2nd/3rd graders (6 students, fall) and middle schoolers (7 students, spring)
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Collaborate proactively with classroom aides, support staff, and related service providers
- Maintain clear communication with families to encourage participation in students’ educational journeys
- Monitor student progress, adapting strategies as needed to support achievement and well-being
- Ensure compliance with all relevant educational laws and policies
