Responsibilities
- Supervise all catering services, including event setup, food presentation, and service delivery to ensure excellence in customer satisfaction.
- Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality control protocols.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste through efficient food management practices.
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation with accuracy.
- Lead staff training initiatives to develop culinary skills, customer service excellence, and operational procedures among team members.
- Coordinate shift management by scheduling staff, assigning duties, and ensuring proper coverage during peak times.
- Conduct staff interviews and participate in hiring decisions to build a skilled and motivated hospitality team.
- Monitor food safety compliance and implement best practices for sanitation and hygiene standards across all catering activities.
- Analyze profit and loss reports to optimize operational efficiency and support budgeting efforts.
- Foster a positive team environment by providing ongoing coaching, feedback, and development opportunities.
Experience
- Proven experience in food service management within casual dining or banquet settings; prior stadium, restaurant, or hotel experience is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated supervising experience with a strong background in managing hospitality teams in fast-paced environments.
- Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for sales transactions and inventory tracking.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling and sanitation.
- Background in managing catering operations, including event planning, setup, execution, and breakdown.
- Experience with managing budgets, conducting profit & loss analysis, and implementing cost-control measures.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train staff effectively while maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or special event days as needed to support operational demands.
