What You'll Do:
Engineering Consulting Services (ECS) is seeking an Environmental Project Manager to join our Industrial Hygiene group. This role performs multiple tasks on a project as assigned by their supervisor. Depending on the project and abilities, they will take an increasing role and responsibility for the project. Work will be a mix of field and office. The ideal candidate presents a positive customer service attitude and understanding of ECS Core Values.

Manage and perform (as needed) asbestos, lead-based paint, mold and indoor air quality assessments, remediation, and/or abatement. Relevant certifications/licensure required

Review daily reports produced by field staff. Perform routine visits to active project sites to ensure appropriate quality and progress.

Good knowledge of federal, state and local environmental regulations and guidelines and their implications on findings and conclusions in studies.

Direct site activities and maintain continuous communication with subordinate field staff and senior managers.

Solid understanding of sample collection, preparation, preservation and laboratory submission regulations and guidelines.

Attend project meetings and provide solutions to technical and administrative issues as necessary

Basic ability to manage project budgets. Prepare change orders, invoices, and assist with collection efforts

Scheduling, training and oversight of subordinate staff members

Good ability to prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines. Consult with your supervisor to help prioritize tasks on a weekly basis.

Management of environmental projects including the application of technical support. Responsible for several projects being performed simultaneously.

Prepare proposals and change orders

Likely will require managing and/or performing multiple projects simultaneously.

Actively mentor junior staff and support overall development of the team

Interface with clients on a daily regular basis. Maintain and develop a client database.

Host or attend project discussions with clients, follow up on reports to determine if there are questions

Communicate with junior staff to direct field work performed by subcontractors and other ECS technicians and other field staff.

Mentor junior staff as needed. Communicate project completion milestones with client and advise on any significant directional changes.

Prepare environmental reports, perform analysis and provide recommendations for review by senior staff

Perform review of deliverables prepared by subordinate staff prior to submission for senior and principal review

Independently prepare reports to be reviewed by senior managers.

Other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For:

Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Environmental Health, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or other related environmental degree applicable to environmental consulting

Minimum 2 years of related consulting experience

Asbestos Inspector certification strongly preferred

Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), or an equivalent professional licensure is desired
