Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our restaurant management team. Duties
- Assist in managing daily store operations, including sales management, inventory control, and cash handling procedures.
- Lead and supervise staff by providing training, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure high levels of employee engagement and productivity.
- Oversee customer service standards to ensure a positive shopping experience; handle escalated customer inquiries with professionalism and enthusiasm.
- Coordinate merchandising efforts, including product placement, pricing strategies, stocking, and promotional displays to maximize sales.
- Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing candidates, employee orientation, and onboarding processes.
- Manage payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, and maintain accurate financial records aligned with company policies.
- Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems for sales transactions, inventory management, and reporting; ensure accuracy in cash handling and cashiering duties.
- Assist in marketing initiatives to promote store events and increase community engagement; oversee shift management to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Implement inventory management practices to maintain optimal stock levels; conduct regular stock checks and inventory audits.
- Uphold health and safety standards within the store environment; ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles with supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members effectively.
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable for engaging diverse customer bases.
- Demonstrated proficiency in negotiation, customer service excellence, and conflict resolution.
- Knowledge of retail math, pricing strategies, sales management, and merchandising principles.
- Experience with POS systems, payroll processing, bookkeeping, inventory control, and cash handling procedures.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently through excellent organizational skills and time management.
- Familiarity with wireless sales or grocery store operations is a plus but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with phone etiquette expertise; comfortable working in fast-paced environments requiring quick thinking and adaptability.
