About WIA
WIA is a fast-growing live commerce company specializing in authenticated pre-owned luxury handbags and accessories. We sell primarily through live shopping platforms and are seeking a reliable independent contractor to provide shipping and fulfillment services from our Davis, California studio on an as-needed basis.
Scope of Services
The contractor will assist with the preparation and shipment of customer orders, including:
Inspecting products prior to shipment
- Carefully packing products to company quality standards
- Preparing shipping labels (USPS, UPS and FedEx)
- Photographing completed packages for shipping records
- Updating shipment status and tracking information
- Assisting with inventory organization and stock counts
- Preparing products and packaging materials for upcoming live sales
- Maintaining a clean, organized fulfillment workspace
- Reporting any discrepancies or damaged items
Desired Qualifications
- Reliable and detail-oriented
- Strong organizational skills
- Comfortable using computers and shipping software
- Able to lift packages up to 30 lbs
- Previous e-commerce, warehouse or shipping experience is preferred
- Experience handling high-value merchandise is a plus
Engagement
- Independent contractor
- Approximately 5–20 hours per week, depending on order volume
- Flexible schedule based on mutually agreed assignments
- Compensation: *$17 per hour*
- Initial engagement with the opportunity for additional work as the business grows
