In Harmony Music in the San Francisco Bay Area is looking for Playful, Confident and Creative music educators and therapists with a passion for working with children and adults. Excellent relationship building, flexible schedule, and group facilitation skills are a must, as is the ability to work as part of a team.
Successful candidates are dynamic, outgoing, theatrical teachers who can take control of a busy room with a song, engage parents and children in play activities, provide outstanding customer service, and committed to ongoing professional development.
Teacher Skills/Qualifications
Teachers will plan lessons, lead classes and events, and work in partnership with our team of teachers to build the In Harmony community.
- Pleasant and tuneful singing voice
- Ability to move rhythmically, in time, and lead choreography
- Love of singing, music making and teaching
- Group facilitation skills
- Experience working with young children
- Ability to learn songs by ear or through music notation
- Playful and energetic teaching style
- Proficiency on one or more instruments
- Consistent, dependable, hard-working
- Able to keep up with a high-paced work environment
- Ability to travel
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilitate playful music classes, lessons, events for parents and children using the In Harmony curriculum
- Establish and build ongoing relationships with families and teaching team
- Consult with families to sell an appropriate learning program
- Uphold In Harmony's high standards of a clean, healthy, inclusive environment
HOURS
We have part time positions available ranging from two to twenty five hours per week including mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends. Applicant must have flexibility to work variable hours and days, accommodating various class schedules, and reliable transportation to travel to multiple class locations.
Pay: From $45.00 per hour
