Duties
- Supervise students during transitions, recess, lunch, and other non-classroom activities to promote safety and positive behavior.
- Enforce school policies and rules consistently while managing student conduct with patience and confidence.
- Assist with behavior management strategies for students with special needs or behavioral challenges.
- Support classroom teachers by monitoring student activities, ensuring adherence to safety procedures, and assisting with classroom routines.
- Implement evacuation procedures and emergency response protocols in coordination with school staff to ensure student safety during drills or real emergencies.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational, childcare, or camp settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of special education needs, behavior management techniques, and classroom experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with school policies related to safety, evacuation procedures, and student conduct is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills are essential for effectively interacting with students, staff, parents, and emergency responders.
- Certification or training in first aid and conflict management enhances your ability to respond confidently in various situations.
