Biodermis, acquired in 2022, designs and markets wound care and silicone scar management products, including the BIOCORNEUM SPF scar gel, serving patients in the U.S. and over 50 countries. Beutlich, acquired in 2024, provides topical anesthetic products for medical and dental professionals, with a range of delivery methods such as gels, sprays, and liquids. Together, these companies cater to a broad spectrum of healthcare needs, from cryotherapy to advanced scar healing and anesthetics.
PURPOSE: The Quality Control Specialist is primarily responsible for inspecting and ensuring that products meet required quality standards before they reach customers. This position plays a critical role in upholding product integrity while also ensuring operational efficiency at Nuance Medical.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Conducts inspections and tests on products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
2. Documents and reports inspection results, identifying any deviations from quality standards.
3. Collaborates with production and warehouse teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
4. Maintains and calibrates inspection equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
5. Participates in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
6. Ensures compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
7. Train and mentors new team members on quality control procedures and best practices.
8. Travel to on-job training in Southern California during the first 6 months.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a quality control role, preferably in the medical supply or healthcare industry.
- Proven success in quality assurance and control, with a strong understanding of industry standards and regulations.
