Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Electrical Electrician to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings, including wiring, lighting, and power distribution.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute installation and maintenance tasks.
- Use hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment to diagnose issues and verify system performance.
- Work with low voltage systems such as security alarms, fire alarms, data cabling, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure electrical work aligns with project timelines and safety standards.
- Conduct renovations by updating or replacing existing electrical infrastructure while adhering to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including inspection reports, schematics updates, and compliance documentation.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a commercial electrician with a strong background in industrial electrician tasks preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, high voltage systems, and low voltage wiring techniques.
- Knowledge of NEC standards and safety regulations related to high voltage and low voltage electrical work.
- Experience working on construction sites or renovation projects within commercial settings.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, and troubleshooting industrial electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with ohmmeters and other electrical testing devices for diagnostics.
- Ability to perform frame carpentry tasks or handyman duties as needed during project execution.
