Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care across a variety of settings, long term care and skilled nursing. This posting is for Monday-Friday, 2pm-10pm. If you cannot work this schedule DO NOT APPLY.
- Showers are IN resident rooms
- Most rooms are single occupancy
- Max patient load is 18, with either a dedicated partner or a float
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices.
- Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Point Click Care
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease through memory care techniques and behavioral health support.
- Provide catheter care/emptying
- Support patients in rehabilitation or post-acute care environments by helping with mobility and therapeutic activities.
- Document patient interactions thoroughly in EMR/EHR systems while adhering to medical terminology standards.
- Engage with patients of geriatric age, while respecting individual needs and disabilities.
Skills
- Proven experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals, nursing homes, hospice, or outpatient clinics.
- Familiarity with Point Click Care or other EMR/EHR systems for accurate medical documentation.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and aseptic techniques essential for safe patient care.
- Experience caring for individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health conditions is highly valued.
- Ability to perform basic life support (BLS) procedures confidently and efficiently.
- Skilled in using assistive devices like Hoyer lifts and managing complex patient needs
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and provide compassionate patient service.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments like emergency medicine or urgent care clinics while maintaining attention to detail.
