Commercial Loan Processor
As a Commercial Loan Processor at Embers, you play a critical role in supporting our business members by preparing, reviewing, and processing commercial loan documents with accuracy and care. You’ll work closely with our Commercial Lending and Operations teams to ensure each loan is properly documented, compliant, and ready for funding—while also helping to build complete and lasting business relationships. From navigating loan systems and account maintenance to cross-selling products and ensuring exceptional service, you are a trusted partner behind the scenes who helps bring business solutions to life. Your attention to detail, efficiency, and professionalism helps Embers deliver timely, high-quality experiences that fuel our members’ financial success.
Prepare and Process Loan Documentation – Create and review commercial loan documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance using Embers’ systems and templates. Enter required data into processing systems and follow quality assurance procedures to ensure smooth loan delivery.
Support Business Member Relationships – Work with business members and vendors to gather required documentation, answer questions, and ensure timely follow-up throughout the loan process. Maintain professionalism and build rapport with members during all interactions.
Perform Account and Member Service Functions – Assist business members with account services including new account openings, account maintenance, and changes. Answer product questions, resolve account issues, and identify additional financial solutions where appropriate.
Maintain Operational Excellence – Stay current with all commercial loan platforms and processing tools. Ensure documentation meets internal policy and regulatory guidelines. Maintain organized and secure work areas and support team projects as needed.
Collaborate with the Commercial Lending Team – Coordinate with loan officers and operations staff to ensure loans move smoothly through the pipeline. Proactively communicate issues, suggest process improvements, and support team performance.
Commercial Loan Servicing & Administration – Perform all aspects of commercial loan servicing, including loan maintenance and system updates, while administering escrow accounts, processing construction draws, ensuring documentation accuracy and compliance, and collaborating with internal teams to resolve issues and support efficient loan servicing operations
Other Duties as Assigned – Support the Commercial Lending team and credit union-wide initiatives by assisting with projects, new product development, or process improvements as needed. Maintain flexibility to take on additional responsibilities that align with Embers’ goals and evolving needs.

Education: Associate degree in business, finance, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3–5 years of experience in financial services, ideally in Commercial Lending, Loan Processing, or Loan Documentation.
Familiarity with commercial loan origination and analysis preferred.

Physical Strength: Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.
