Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated, experienced, and patient-focused Supervising Pharmacist to lead the daily operations of our community pharmacy in Brooklyn, NY. The ideal candidate is a licensed pharmacist with strong leadership skills, excellent clinical knowledge, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. You will oversee pharmacy operations, ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, supervise pharmacy staff, and help deliver safe, accurate, and efficient pharmaceutical care.
This position offers competitive hourly pay, a flexible schedule of 30–40 hours per week, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the local community.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily operations of the pharmacy.
- Ensure compliance with New York State Board of Pharmacy regulations, DEA, HIPAA, and all applicable federal and state laws.
- Accurately verify and dispense prescription medications.
- Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and drug interactions.
- Oversee pharmacy technicians and support staff.
- Maintain accurate inventory and manage controlled substances.
- Ensure proper medication storage and security.
- Resolve patient concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to optimize patient care.
- Maintain quality assurance and medication safety standards.
- Support immunization services and clinical programs, if applicable.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment.
Qualifications & SkillsRequired Qualifications
- Active New York State Pharmacist License in good standing.
- Familiarity with Prime Rx , POS systems and cashiering procedures.
- Supervising Pharmacist experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and lead a team.
- Proficient with pharmacy management software and electronic prescription systems.
- Strong knowledge of clinical pharmacy principles and practices
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating patient needs and medication efficacy.
