Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Experienced Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental assisting, with expertise in chairside support, patient care, and clinical procedures. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a patient-focused practice that values professionalism, efficiency, and exceptional service. The successful applicant will demonstrate proficiency in dental technology, infection control, and medical documentation to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments with precision and professionalism.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary equipment such as 3D scanners and X-ray machines, and ensuring all supplies are stocked.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring adherence to safety protocols and proper image quality.
- Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft while maintaining HIPAA compliance for patient privacy.
- Provide chairside assistance by handling dental instruments, managing suction devices, and supporting four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency.
- Monitor vital signs and assist in medical imaging procedures when necessary to support overall patient health assessments.
- Maintain strict infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures to uphold safety standards within the clinic.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a fast-paced clinical environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures.
- Proficiency in dental software systems for managing medical records and documentation.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
- Experience with pediatric dentistry procedures and familiarity with pediatric-specific equipment such as pediatric X-ray techniques and child-friendly communication skills is a bonus.
- Ability to perform X-ray imaging accurately while adhering to safety protocols; certification in radiography preferred.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations is essential.
- Excellent communication skills combined with a professional demeanor; ability to work collaboratively within a team environment supporting four-handed dentistry practices.

Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
