As an Automation Maintenance Specialist, you’ll be the go-to responder for equipment issues across conveyors, sortation, AS/RS, and packaging assets. Your day blends fast diagnostics (up to 480V), hands-on repairs, and steady preventive maintenance that prevents downtime. You’ll collaborate closely with peers, vendors, and support teams—while also mentoring junior techs—and document your work to drive reliability and continuous improvement.

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment (up to 480V)

Service and replace motors, VFDs, sensors, gearboxes, bearings, and pneumatic components

Diagnose issues across conveyors, sortation systems, AS/RS, and packaging equipment
-
Clear jams, resolve sensor faults, and correct minor electrical/pneumatic failures
-
Execute preventive maintenance and perform system calibrations
-
Read electrical schematics and perform basic PLC/HMI diagnostics
-
Record work orders and maintenance actions in a CMMS
-
Flag recurring problems, support root cause analysis (RCA), and contribute to continuous improvement
-
Partner with teammates and outside vendors; provide guidance to junior technicians
-
Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting ability
-
Knowledge of pneumatics and conveyor systems
-
Foundational PLC/controls understanding

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Comfort working independently in a fast-paced setting

High School Diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred

2+ years of industrial maintenance experience

Hands-on background with automation, conveyors, electrical, and mechanical systems

Ability to read schematics and perform basic PLC troubleshooting

Familiarity with CMMS platforms

Stand and walk for most of the shift

Climb, balance, kneel, crouch, and crawl for extended periods

Reach, pull, push, and lift items up to 50 pounds of varying shapes and sizes
-
Safely operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jack, box cutter, carts) with coordinated movements
