Seecamp firearms is a precision firearms manufacturing company dedicated to producing high-quality components and products that meet demanding industry standards. We are seeking an experienced CNC Mill Programmer to join our team on a part-time basis with a flexible schedule supporting programming, setup, and optimization of CNC milling operations.
Position Summary
The CNC Mill Programmer will be responsible for creating, modifying, and optimizing CNC programs for multi-axis milling machines used in the production of firearm components and related precision-machined parts. The ideal candidate has strong machining knowledge, experience with CAM software, and a commitment to quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Develop, edit, and optimize CNC milling programs from engineering drawings and CAD models.
- Generate toolpaths using CAM software and verify program accuracy.
- Support machine setup, prove-outs, and first-article inspections.
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to improve efficiency and quality.
- Select tooling, cutting parameters, and machining strategies for various materials.
- Collaborate with engineering and production personnel to meet manufacturing goals.
- Maintain program documentation and revision control.
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards and safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of CNC milling programming experience.
- Proficiency with MasterCAM software.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and CAD models.
- Experience programming 3 and 4-axis CNC mills.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, feeds, and speeds.
- Experience with aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and other firearm-related materials preferred.
- Familiarity with inspection equipment and quality control procedures.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in firearms, aerospace, defense, or other precision manufacturing industries.
- Knowledge of multi-axis machining.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
- Ability to independently manage projects with minimal supervision.
Schedule
- Part-time position, Monday through Friday approximately 10–25 hours per week with a flexable schedule.
