We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Porter to help maintain the cleanliness and overall appearance of a new luxury three-story loft apartment building. Hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM. The Porter will be responsible for keeping common areas clean, managing trash rooms, and ensuring the building remains well-maintained for residents and guests. This role plays an important part in preserving the high standards expected in a luxury residential community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Empty and maintain trash rooms on each floor, ensuring waste and recycling are properly handled and disposed of.
- Transport trash and recycling to designated collection areas.
- Sweep and mop floors in hallways, stairwells, lobbies, and other common areas.
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of common spaces including entryways, hallways, staircases, and shared amenities.
- Monitor building areas for cleanliness and address spills or debris promptly.
- Assist with light maintenance tasks as needed.
- Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety concerns to building management.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and stored properly.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors.
Qualifications:
- Prior janitorial, porter, or building maintenance experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and instructions.
Work Environment:
- Indoor and outdoor work within a three-story residential loft building.
- Regular use of cleaning equipment and supplies.
- May involve lifting trash bags and moving cleaning equipment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
