Job description
Heart Space Counseling Center for Individuals, Couples, and Families is a private pay group therapy practice located in Lakewood, CO. Our practice primarily markets to couples and individuals with relationship challenges and trauma. We assist partners in exploring and interrupting unhelpful conflict cycles, learning about emotions and new ways of holding space for them, gaining insight into patterns and traumas stemming from family of origin issues and their present day impact, and practicing effective methods of communication and problem solving to improve their overall satisfaction within their relationships. We foster a systemic approach through modalities such as EFT and the Gottman Method. We also regularly integrate EMDR, IFS, SE, and body-centered care with clients processing trauma.
We are excited to be recruiting and contracting an experienced couples therapist to provide 5-20 hours of therapy per week. We maintain a continual influx of referrals, so we are looking for someone who wants to build your caseload asap!!! Preferred Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist or Marriage and Family Therapist Candidate close to licensure + trauma training. We are also open to alternative licensures with extensive couples therapy training and experience.
Needs of the Position
The ideal candidate is an organized, communicative, and dependable people person with a warmth, authenticity, and enthusiasm to help individuals, couples, and families feel seen, heard, and safe. Intake call (or strong sales) experience and clinical training in MFT/couple modalities are critical for success in this role! Trauma training (especially EMDR, IFS, SE, TF-CBT) would also be beneficial; compensation commensurate to experience. We also invite those who prefer to build strong, connected, collaborative relationships with the Heart Space team.
We strive for a heart-centered approach that is both client-centric and clinician-centric. In-office availability and some evenings after work will best assist in meeting the needs of the community of Lakewood and the surrounding areas, but you are more than welcome to work daytime hours or from home with those clients who prefer these options. We are looking for a clinician who is passionate about healing and relationships; eager to fill your caseload; flexible willingness to see individuals and couples; prefers working on a team; and able to maintain up-to-date and confidential client records.
