Job Summary
As a Food Service Team Member, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our customers. You will be responsible for food preparation, customer service, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. This position requires a passion for the food industry and a commitment to quality service in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and standards
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems, including Aloha POS and Micros POS, for order processing
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and addressing inquiries
- Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales
- Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including kitchen and dining spaces
- Follow food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure the health and safety of customers
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining an organized dining area
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours
Skills
- Strong culinary experience with a focus on food preparation and handling
- Proficient in using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Experience in sales techniques, particularly upselling in a food service context
- Solid customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math applications
- Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurants is preferred
- Familiarity with kitchen operations and grocery store environments is a plus
