Join our multispecialty healthcare team as a Telehealth Outpatient Registered Dietitian, where you will play a vital role in delivering personalized nutrition care to patients remotely. This position offers the opportunity to empower individuals on their health journeys through innovative telehealth technology, ensuring they receive expert guidance regardless of location. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will utilize your expertise in dietetics to develop tailored care plans that promote optimal health outcomes across diverse populations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments via telehealth platforms to evaluate nutritional status, medical history, and lifestyle factors.
- Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans that address MNT related health conditions.
- Educate patients on healthy eating habits, weight loss strategies, and lifestyle changes through engaging virtual coaching sessions.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate care plans, monitor progress, and adjust interventions as needed for optimal results.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions, assessments, and care plans within electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of MNT and nutrition counseling techniques.
- Proven experience in telehealth outpatient counseling and the ability to motivate and support behavioral change.
- Familiarity with EMR systems for efficient documentation and patient tracking.
- Prior experience supervising staff or interns within dietary or healthcare departments.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients on nutrition strategies for weight loss, disease management, or recovery processes.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required. Active state licensure (multi-state preferred)
- 1–3+ years of clinical or outpatient experience required; New graduates considered
- Comfortable using telehealth platforms and EMRs
- Strong communication and counseling skills
